About the Role We've partnered with a great client in Winnipeg who is seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join their dynamic consulting team. In this role, you will work on a variety of building‑design projects, from residential and commercial to institutional structures. You'll be responsible for leading design efforts, managing projects, mentoring junior staff, and delivering technically sound, cost‑effective solutions.

What You'll Do

Lead structural design, analysis, and detailing for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry systems

Manage projects from concept through construction, including scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination

Mentor and guide junior and intermediate engineers and designers

Perform structural modelling and calculations using industry‑standard software (e.g., Revit, analysis tools)

Ensure compliance with Canadian building codes and standards

Provide structural engineering support during construction (shop drawing reviews, site inspections)

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (architects, MEP) to deliver integrated and efficient designs

Who You Are

Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligible in Manitoba

8+ years of experience in structural engineering design, with significant project management experience

Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience mentoring staff

Strong technical knowledge of structure design (steel, concrete, wood, masonry) and analysis techniques

Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to deliver efficient, innovative solutions

Proficient in structural modelling and analysis software (e.g., Revit, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar)
