Junior Trader - Coal

As a Junior Coal Trader, you will play a vital role in expanding the company's trading network and ensuring smooth transactions with international buyers. This position is best suited for someone who already has strong connections with coal end-users, and is eager to grow within the global trading industry. You will be actively involved in building client relationships, supporting trading activities, and driving business opportunities in a highly dynamic market.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain direct relationships with international buyers or end-users, e.g.power plants in Korea and Japan.

Support senior traders in executing coal sales and purchase transactions, including contract negotiation, pricing, and delivery coordination.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities, track coal demand trends, and monitor competitor activities.

Ensure smooth end-to-end trading operations, including documentation, shipment scheduling, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Coordinate closely with logistics, finance, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of trade deals.

Build long-term client trust by providing excellent communication and after-sales support.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, International Trade, or a related field.

Prior experience in coal trading, sales, or business development, ideally with exposure to power plant clients in Korea or Japan.

Must have existing buyer or end-user network.

Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.

Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English; proficiency in Japanese or Korean is a strong plus.

Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced trading environment.

Willing to travel for business trips as needed.
