The Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing The Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing plays a critical leadership role in promoting a proactive safety culture and enhancing team member wellbeing across the organisation. This role is responsible for driving injury prevention strategies, mitigating organisational risk, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities within health, safety, and wellbeing practices. The role also supports the delivery of medical services across Crown Perth and maintains strong connections with broader HSW teams across Crown Resorts to ensure consistency and continuity in approach.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with employees, leaders, and executives to identify, assess, and manage risks, supporting Crown’s health and safety performance and compliance obligations.

Contribute to the design and development of policies that ensure a safe work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors, free from health and safety risks.

Provide appropriate information, instruction, documentation, training and supervision to enable safe work practices and reduce health risks.

Provide strong leadership to the HSW team, maintaining close collaboration with the General Manager of HSW on emerging and critical issues.

Support the Crown Perth Medical Services function, providing operational support and oversight.

Offer expert advice, consultation, and support to business units to help set and achieve both unit-level and corporate health, safety, and wellbeing objectives.

Implement, monitor, and continuously improve systems and processes to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.

Establish and maintain an internal assurance framework to monitor health and safety performance.

About you

At least 5 years senior managerial experience in Health & Safety or related field.

Proven leader with the ability to work in a fast paced and 24/7 environment.

Tertiary qualification in Health Safety and Wellbeing or related.

Established audit management experience.

Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Ability to inspire cultural change and embed safety values across diverse teams.
