Position Overview
Mancala have successfully won a 2 year project in Zambia and are the lookout for an experienced Administration Manager to join our team onsite. This is a great opportunity for someone with or wanting overseas experience in the mining industry.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labour, parts, materials and equipment required.
Core Duties
Effective planning and scheduling of daily / weekly / monthly maintenance activities and correct management of resources and monitoring of maintenance performance
Minimise down time of equipment by application of an effective planned preventative maintenance program
Maintenance of all records, files, drawings, certificates and history essential in ensuring all equipment compliance is readily available.
Understanding and keeping knowledge up to date on relevant industry and Australian standards.
Being the principal contact person between Maintenance, Operations and other supporting departments.
Ensure that the Group's equipment internal charge out rates are correct,
Review whole of plant life (WOPL) rates at regular intervals;
Assisting in the development of Plant replacement strategies;
Ensure maintenance priorities are properly integrated with overall site procedures and statuary requirements through liaison with management, project managers, supervisors and trades personnel.
Initiate warehouse inventory stock levels of spare parts and materials in line with the designated equipment maintenance supervisor or manager
Manage and coordinate location of all equipment in conjunction with the Engineering and Maintenance Manager
Communicating regularly with Operations and Maintenance
Establish strong working relationships with customers and suppliers
Ensure customers and suppliers are provided with relevant and timely information at all times.
Requirements
5+ years experience as a Maintenance Planner within the mining or heavy machinery industry
Experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment
Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance activities is highly desirable
Intermediate understanding of Microsoft office
Intermediate understanding of an Accounting software system (preferably pronto
