About the Role
We are seeking two experienced Senior Claims Consultants to join our Broker space. One role sits within our Home team, and the second within our Motor team. These positions are responsible for managing diverse portfolios of complex, sensitive, high‑risk claims within their respective portfolios.
In addition to the day‑to‑day management of your claim portfolio, there will also be a strong focus on supporting upskilling and mentoring junior team members to uplift overall capability within the team.
These roles are hybrid and open to candidates based in
NSW, QLD and VIC .
Manage a portfolio of sensitive claims, reviewing and settling the more complex cases
Act as a referral point for claims officers to provide advice and approvals above authority
Complaints management, ensuring any complaints are resolved timely and accurately
Provide information and feedback on claims activity and developing trends to underwriters/risk assessors to enable appropriate actions to be carried out
Set reserves and authorise payment within delegated authority
Provide ad‑hoc assistance to the Team Manager where required
About You
Substantial claims experience (Personal Lines – Home, Landlord or Motor Claims)
Excellent knowledge of the General Insurance Code of Practice, Insurance Contracts Act, breach management and escalation process, complaints handling and monitoring
Coaching and mentoring experience, particularly in supporting peers within a claims team
Experience in dealing with or supporting a Broker Network
Keen eye for detail with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Strong experience in complaints handling and supporting complaints resolution
