K&L Gates currently has an opportunity for a Senior Associate (5 to 8 years' post admission experience) to join our Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Perth.

About the role As a senior member of the team, you will be exposed to a variety of complex and interesting dispute and investigation matters, acting for a range of international and domestic clients across multiple industries.

The practice offers a broad range of high-quality work, a dynamic environment and excellent training and support. You will be challenged, supported and guided as you continue to advance your career in this team.

You will also be encouraged to participate in business development and client relationship activities and will have opportunities to mentor and develop junior lawyers.

The role is also supported by a network of professionals locally, nationally and globally.

You should be practical, resilient and proactive in your approach in addition to demonstrating strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and work well in a team. A high level of client service is expected as are excellent organisation, written and oral communication skills.

You must have a commercial litigation background, ideally with some experience in high‑end commercial disputes, white‑collar investigations as well as financial and corporate governance disputes. In addition, you will be comfortable dealing with technical work outside of your own speciality and dealing with challenging matters. This role may appeal to someone who is looking to harness their advocacy skills.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 6 years post qualification experience in commercial litigation.
