INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNERS - 2 to 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

We’re looking for

experienced Instructional Designer

to join a team building online programs for a key client. You’ll work independently, understand project needs quickly, and manage the quality and timely delivery of course materials. The role involves coordinating SMEs and creative teams while designing engaging, AI-supported online learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities 1. Content Design & Development Partner with IDs and SMEs to design comprehensive online courses aligned with learning goals and client expectations. 2. Team & Workflow Coordination Act as the content lead, guiding SMEs, media/graphic designers, course builders, and editors to keep quality and pace on track. 3. Deliverable Creation Create detailed briefs, module manifests, assessments, video scripts, storyboards, live-lesson artefacts, AI chatbot interactions, and support SMEs in recording Loom videos. 4. Platform & Tools Build course content in Articulate Rise (preferred). 5. AI Integration Use generative AI for ideation, course planning, briefs, scripts, and storyboards. 6. Project Management & Quality Control Ensure accuracy, consistency, and on-time delivery while meeting high-quality standards.

Qualifications • 2–3 years of instructional design experience in higher ed, workforce development, or corporate L&D. • Strong skills in online course design, scripting, and storyboarding. • Availability for 40 hours/week over a 6-month project (initial 3-month contract). • Ability to attend weekly meetings during business hours. • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Articulate Rise. • Comfort using generative AI tools for content creation. • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google WorkspaceFreelance Role Details • Duration: ~6 months once the project starts. • Schedule: Flexible hours with one weekly meeting during business hours. • Expectations: Reliable communication and consistent on-time delivery.
