About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
SAP AA/PS Consultant
to support, design, and optimize Asset Accounting and Project Systems processes within an S/4HANA or ECC environment. This role focuses on end-to-end project lifecycle, asset capitalization, settlement processes, and ensuring strong integration with Finance and Controlling. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable and efficient SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Asset Accounting (AA):
Configure and support Asset Accounting (FI-AA) including asset classes, depreciation areas, valuation methods, and asset lifecycle processes.
Manage end-to-end asset lifecycle: acquisition, capitalization, transfers, retirements, and revaluations.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and local statutory requirements.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including depreciation runs and reconciliation.
SAP Project Systems (PS):
Configure WBS elements, networks, activities, milestones, budgeting, and cost planning.
Design and support settlement rules, project budgeting/availability control, and cost tracking.
Enable project forecasting, progress tracking, and project-related reporting.
Integrate PS with MM, SD, PP, FI/CO, and Asset Accounting.
General Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze business requirements; translate them into functional specifications.
Lead testing cycles: unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and cutover activities.
Provide SAP best practices for AA/PS processes and propose process improvements.
Support S/4HANA transformation, system upgrades, and new functionalities.
Work with cross-functional teams including finance, procurement, and technical developers.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in
SAP Asset Accounting (AA)
and/or
SAP Project Systems (PS) .
Hands-on experience in
S/4HANA
or ECC.
Strong understanding of
asset lifecycle ,
depreciation calculation ,
settlements ,
CWIP capitalization , and
project budgeting .
Solid integration knowledge with
FI, CO, MM, SD , and
PM .
Experience with
project structuring, cost planning, budgeting, and reporting .
Ability to design functional specs for RICEFW objects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with
AUC (Assets Under Construction)
processes.
Knowledge of
SAP Investment Management (IM) .
Exposure to
SAP Fiori apps
for Asset Accounting and Project Systems.
Experience working in Agile delivery setups.
Global project experience across EMEA/APAC/AMER regions.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
SAP certifications in AA, PS, or S/4HANA Finance (preferred).
