Transformation Lead – Finance | Banking |£150,000 - £180,000 | Quick Starts Preferable | City of London | 50% office based

About the Role:

I am seeking a dynamic and strategic Transformation Lead – Finance to join my client and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their finance function. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, responsible for leading the design and delivery of a comprehensive finance transformation programme. They are looking for people who are transformation/change specialists that see the whole picture vs. someone who is in a finance role implementing change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Target Operating Model: Develop and implement a future-fit finance target operating model aligned with business strategy and growth ambitions.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and ensure clear, consistent communication throughout the transformation journey.
• Third-Party Management: Engage and manage relationships with external suppliers and partners to support transformation delivery.
• Process & Controls: Define and document finance processes, controls, and governance frameworks to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
• Change Management: Drive change across the finance function, ensuring buy-in and adoption from key stakeholders.
• Communication: Ensure transformation plans, progress, and outcomes are effectively communicated across the business.

About You:

• Have experience working within a Bank or a highly regulated FS environment
• Proven experience in leading finance transformation programmes within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of finance operations, systems, and controls.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and consultants.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to delivery.
