Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
- Own the Business Central ecosystem by taking a full handover from the outsourced implementation team, ensuring deep understanding of all customisations, integrations, workflows, and ongoing initiatives.
- Serve as the primary functional expert and go-to contact for all Business Central–related requirements across the organisation.
- Work closely with stakeholders to analyse, document, and optimise business processes, with strong focus on e-commerce, OMS, WMS, P2P, R2R, O2C, and finance operations.
- Convert business requirements into clear functional specifications, collaborating with developers to ensure accurate and efficient customisations.
- Build, lead, and mentor an internal team of Business Central developers to support custom enhancements and continuous improvement.
- Oversee and manage integrations with custom-built websites/apps, courier partners, banking systems, and other third-party platforms using APIs and related technologies.
- Ensure smooth operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Business Central environment to meet evolving business needs.
- Provide training, support, and guidance to internal users to enhance adoption and system utilisation.
- Stay current with the latest Business Central features, updates, and best practices for ongoing optimisation.
Key Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Central / Dynamics NAV Functional Consultant, with proven success in implementations and customisations.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce business processes and operational workflows.
- Practical experience across OMS, WMS, P2P, R2R, O2C, and finance modules in Business Central.
- Prior experience handling handover and knowledge transfer from outsourced teams.
- Good working knowledge of the AL programming language and the Business Central development environment.
- Strong understanding of API-based integrations with external systems (web/app platforms, logistics partners, banking systems, etc.).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing or mentoring technical teams.
- Ability to operate independently, take initiative, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in e-commerce or retail industry environments.
- Project management experience or relevant certification.
- Understanding of Indian statutory and compliance requirements related to finance and operations.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
