Chief Financial Officer As the Chief Financial Officer for Verso Projects, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy and operations of the company. Based in Brisbane, QLD, this full-time position will see you leading the financial management, reporting, and compliance functions to support the company's ambitious growth plans.

What you'll be doing

Provide strategic financial leadership and oversight, partnering with the executive team to achieve the company's objectives.

Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure accurate and timely information for decision-making.

Manage the company's cash flow, capital structure, and investment activities to optimise financial performance.

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax requirements, and legal/regulatory obligations.

Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and implementing best practices.

Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes, and controls to drive efficiencies.

Provide expert advice and recommendations to the executive team on financial and operational matters.

What we’re looking for

Qualified accountant (CPA or CA) with 8+ years' post-qualification experience.

Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles, ideally within the property development or construction industry.

Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing finance teams.

Excellent strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights.

Strong technical skills in areas such as financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to engage with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Innovative mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
