The Manager - Plant HR & Admin is a key role responsible for overseeing all human resources and administrative functions. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this position plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth plant operations through effective recruitment, performance management, safety and security implementations, and comprehensive facility administration. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader who enforces time discipline, nurtures cordial labor and staff relations, and maintains a high standard of workplace safety and efficiency. Job Responsibilities • Recruitment & Staffing: o Oversee the recruitment of both white-collar staff and labor (directly or through labor contractors) to ensure timely and efficient staffing for plant operations. o Develop and implement effective talent acquisition and retention strategies. • Performance Management: o Assist management in designing and implementing a robust performance appraisal system for white-collar staff, ensuring a fair and transparent evaluation process. • Safety & Security: o Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety and security policies for the plant. o Ensure compliance with regulatory safety standards and foster a safe working environment for all employees. • Administrative Management: o Oversee the day-to-day administrative functions of the plant, including maintenance of electrical systems, plumbing, cleanliness, and overall facility upkeep. o Ensure that plant infrastructure and services support efficient and uninterrupted production operations. • Time Discipline & Labor Relations: o Enforce strict time discipline and monitor employee attendance. o Cultivate harmonious and cordial relations between labor and staff, promptly addressing any conflicts or issues that arise. • Policy Implementation & Compliance: o Ensure adherence to company policies, labor laws, and regulatory guidelines across all HR and administrative functions. o Regularly review and update policies to reflect evolving industry standards and best practices. • Documentation & Reporting: o Maintain detailed records of HR and administrative activities. o Prepare regular reports on staffing, performance, safety, and facility management for senior leadership review. Skills & Competencies • In-depth understanding of HR management and plant-level administration within a manufacturing environment. • Proven experience in recruiting, performance management, and labor relations, specifically within the electrical manufacturing or related sectors. • Strong knowledge of safety and security protocols, as well as facility management practices. • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a positive work culture. • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment. • Comprehensive understanding of labor laws and regulatory compliance. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
