The Role

You’ll take a leading role in both non-contentious and contentious competition law matters, working on a range of UK and EU mandates across merger control, cartel investigations, and litigation. You’ll also play a key part in the development of the firm’s growing consumer protection practice — an exciting area of expansion for the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Advising on merger control and foreign direct investment rules, including the National Security and Investment Act.
• Handling cartel and abuse of dominance investigations.
• Managing competition litigation, including group actions and opt-out claims.
• Providing pre-action analysis and strategic support on competition law claims.
• Advising on market studies, state aid, and subsidy control issues.
• Leading client relationships, supervising associates, and driving business development initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• A qualified lawyer (England & Wales or equivalent) with extensive UK/EU competition law experience.
• Strong track record across both contentious and non-contentious matters.
• Confident leading cases, mentoring junior lawyers, and shaping client strategy.
• A commercial mindset and a proactive approach to business development.
• Experience with funded claims, opt-out regimes, or consumer protection cases would be advantageous.
