Senior accountant - manager of internal accounting

Job Overview We're looking for a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our team and take full ownership of building Exein's internal accounting function from the ground up, reporting directly to the CFO. This is a rare opportunity for a hands-on professional who wants to leave a lasting mark — you won't be stepping into an existing structure, you'll be creating one. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical accounting expertise with the entrepreneurial mindset needed to design processes, implement systems, and set the standard for financial rigor in a fast-scaling cybersecurity company.

Responsibilities Design and build Exein's internal accounting department from scratch, establishing processes, controls, and workflows suited to a high-growth Saa S environment. Own the full accounting cycle: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, accruals, intercompany transactions, and month-end/year-end close. Record and manage journal entries with precision and consistency using Oracle Net Suite. Lead the preparation of the consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS or Italian GAAP as required). Ensure compliance with local tax and statutory reporting obligations. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and corporate secretaries to support annual audits and statutory filings. Partner with the CFO on financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls. Progressively build and mentor a small accounting team as the function grows. Requirements 6+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong preference for candidates from Big 4 or mid-tier audit firms or multinational environments. Proven hands-on experience with

Deep expertise in

consolidated financial statements

preparation, including intercompany eliminations and group reporting.

Solid knowledge of IFRS and/or Italian GAAP. Strong understanding of internal controls and accounting best practices. Ability to work autonomously and build structure in an unstructured environment. Excellent attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy. Professional-level English and Italian, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have Experience in Saa S or tech companies. Familiarity with multi-currency and multi-entity consolidations. Prior experience setting up an accounting function or ERP system.
