Your role and responsibilities

As an Investment Director you will play a key leadership role within the team, being responsible for sourcing, executing and managing investments across the fund’s portfolio with a clear focus on value creation and investment performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

Sourcing & Origination:

evaluate and identify new investment opportunities in line with Ambienta sustainable strategy and lead preliminary screening and investment analysis

Execution:

coordinate the due diligence process, structure transaction, consolidate info memo for the Investment Committees, negotiate and manage transactions

Portfolio management:

oversee the portfolio companies’ performances and financial results, support value creation initiatives (add-ons, refinancing, exit analyses) and take active role in board meetings

Exit:

develop and execute exit strategies and structure exits to maximise returns

Your Skills 8-10 years of relevant experience, of which a significant portion must have been in private equity

Strong track record in executing and managing investments

Strong academic background from a top educational institution with degree in Finance, Economics or Engineering or related fields

Strong knowledge of accounting, corporate finance and valuation methodologies

Advanced financial modelling and valuation

Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player

Curious attitude and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize

Keen interest to focus on investment opportunities positioned on the smaller end of the investment range for Ambienta (€50-100m revenue businesses) Previous experience in dealing with entrepreneurial companies would be a plus

Excellent English both written and spoken; additional European language would be a plus
