Cybersecurity operations manager

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring effective monitoring, detection, investigation, and response to security events. Oversee incident response processes and act as escalation point for significant cybersecurity incidents. Lead forensic investigations and high-priority analyses. Manage the vulnerability management program across all perimeters (external, internal, cloud, and endpoint), driving remediation efforts. Plan, organize, and oversee penetration testing and red teaming activities, coordinating internal and external resources. Conduct security architecture reviews as part of the organization's risk management framework. Analyze and manage Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) reports, evaluating risks and defining mitigation and remediation strategies. Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure vulnerabilities, risks, and findings are clearly understood and effectively mitigated. Manage cybersecurity-related projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery. Manage the lifecycle and budget of security service providers, tools, and platforms, ensuring effectiveness and continuous improvement. Act as the designated Italian CSIRT representative, managing incident notifications and coordination with authorities in line with the NIS Directive.

DESIRED PROFILE:

Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field; candidates with a broader STEM background are also welcome. Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity with solid understanding of SOC operations, security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management. Hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies, for example: Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and Cloud Security solutions, Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint, Vectra, Bit Sight, Cyber Ark, etc. Fluent Italian and English, written and spoken. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams. Master's degree or higher in cybersecurity or related fields. Industry-recognized security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent. Availability to travel occasionally.
