Junior information systems security officer (isso)

Florence, Italy (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Freelance opportunity English required We're looking for a Junior Information Systems Security Officer to support the Cybersecurity & IT Infrastructure team of an international company based in Florence. This role is ideal for someone early in their cybersecurity career who wants hands-on experience in security monitoring, incident investigation, vulnerability management, and enterprise security operations. Responsibilities

Security monitoring and log analysis Investigating security incidents Supporting vulnerability assessments and remediation Managing PKI infrastructure and X509 certificates Security documentation AD / Entra ID security reviews Collaboration with SOC providers and internal IT teams

Over time, you'll also support EDR/NDR/PAM tools, IAM controls, threat hunting, and broader cybersecurity initiatives. Requirements

Degree or diploma in Cybersecurity / Computer Science Basic knowledge of security principles and networking Familiarity with TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, TLS, EDR Basic scripting (Python or Power Shell)

Nice to have: MITRE ATT& CK or NIST framework knowledge 1 year freelance project through Shakers
