Role Description

As an experienced Business Manager for our Milan agency, you will act as a true intrapreneur responsible for developing and managing your business unit within the engineering consulting environment, ideally in IT.

Business Development

- Build and develop your own client portfolio in the Industry and/or IT sector

- Conduct phone prospecting and in-person client meetings

- Understand client challenges and propose tailored consulting solutions

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention

- Promote Abylsen’s three engagement models (technical assistance, service center, work package)

Recruitment & Team Management

- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit top consulting engineers

- Conduct interviews and select high-potential consultants

- Manage, support, and retain your team through active career follow-up

- Contribute to team engagement and performance

Profit Center Management & Coaching

- Manage and optimize the profitability of your business unit

- Monitor performance indicators and drive sustainable growth

- Coach and develop a junior Business Engineer already in place

- Support the future growth of the Milan team

You will join the Italian subsidiary (created in 2021) and report directly to the Country Director.

Profile

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree (Engineering or Business School)

- Fluent Italian and English (mandatory)

- Proven experience as a Business Manager in engineering consulting, ideally in IT

- Strong track record in business development and client acquisition

- Experience managing consultants and ideally coaching junior Business Managers
