Senior devops / cloud engineer

We are building a cloud-native, automated platform for real-time decision making and execution, operating in an algorithmic-trading-style environment. We are looking for a Senior Dev Ops / Cloud Engineer to design and develop our AWS production infrastructure from zero. This is a foundational role in a system where availability, operational excellence, and failure handling matter every day. Strong performance in this role may lead to broader platform ownership and management responsibilities as the company scales. What you'll do

Design and build a production-grade cloud environment (dev / test / prod separation) Run containerized workloads supporting time-critical execution flows Implement Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines in Git Lab with safe rollback Develop and maintain production code (preferably in Python) to integrate external APIs (data providers, exchange, internal services) Own infrastructure boundaries with external platforms and vendors, operating reliably despite partial failures or unclear SLAs Support regulated, auditable systems for 24/7 operations with strong logging, retention, and evidence Design systems that fail safely, degrade gracefully, and can be reconstructed from logs and audit trails

What we're looking for

Strong Cloud experience (AWS or Azure) Solid Linux, networking, and cloud security fundamentals Familiarity with containerization and deployment concepts (e.g. Docker) Strong hands-on experience with Git Lab CI/CD (pipelines, runners, deployment strategies) Solid Python programming skills, especially for REST API integration and external services integration
