Senior Software Engineer (Rust) | Global Fintech | Remote Full Remote in Spain or Italy 3 stage interview process We're working with a global fintech scaling rapidly and operating at massive scale. The company is entering a strategic evolution of its core technology stack and is making a long-term investment in Rust to improve performance, security, and operational efficiency across mission-critical systems. The Opportunity Rather than joining a single team or project, you'll:

Define the standards, architecture, and best practices for Rust development Lead the design and build of high-performance, distributed systems

What You'll Be Doing

Partner with senior engineering and product leaders to define the Rust roadmap Architect and build foundational Rust services used across the platform Establish development patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering standards Solve complex system-level and architectural challenges Embed strong observability and monitoring using Open Telemetry Act as the go-to Rust expert and technical leader within the business

What They're Looking For

8+ years' experience building distributed, high-throughput systems Proven, hands-on experience building production systems in Rust Deep knowledge of systems design, memory management, and concurrency Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) Strong understanding of event-driven architectures Experience establishing or improving CI/CD practices
