Design engineer (electrical / electronic)

With a global footprint and a commitment to innovation, we are currently seeking a highly motivated Electric Motor Design Engineer. At Nidec Global Appliance, the R&D Electric Motors team is responsible for the design, analysis, validation, and implementation of electric motors and components for residential and commercial applications. Our core mission is to develop innovative, reliable, and cost-effective products that meet performance and safety standards, aligned with the company’s strategic vision and timelines. Create analytical and numerical models for motor analysis and design Plan, execute, and analyze laboratory tests for performance validation and product certification Assist in software validation related to motor control and system integration Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electronics, mechanics, and product compliance Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field focused on electrical machines Knowledge of electric motor operation, design principles, and performance metrics Experience with engineering software tools (e.g., Ansys, Motor-CAD, MATLAB/Simulink, Maxwell, or similar) Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point) Good communication skills in both English and Italian (spoken and written)
