Senior software engineer (french speaking)

About Our Client Our client is on a mission to simplify how developers interact with government services. Their goal is to make the exchange of electronic documents - such as e-invoices- fast, secure, and developer-friendly through powerful API solutions. Location: Remote from Italy - candidates must be based in Italy with no restrictions to work Contract Type: Full-time Language Requirements: French (native or fluent), English (B2 level or higher) Your Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the development and deployment of core products for the French market, ensuring they are scalable, compliant, and easy to integrate. You will:

Architect, build, and document backend components and APIs. Ensure high performance, reliability, and maintainability of the systems. Collaborate directly with customers to support smooth and successful integrations. Recruit, mentor, and manage a junior/mid-level developer.

What Our Client Is Looking For

Strong experience in developing web applications and backend services. Hands-on experience with scalable API projects. Solid understanding of French and English (B2+). Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders. Familiarity with fiscal compliance, e-invoicing standards, or government APIs is a strong plus.

Preferred Tech Stack While diverse technical backgrounds are welcome, the following experience is especially valued:

PHP (preferably with Symfony) Python AWS or similar cloud platforms
