DevOps Manager – Datacolor
Datacolor, a global leader in color management solutions, provides software, instruments, and services to improve the precision, performance and efficiency of color workflow across textile & apparel, paint & coatings, automotive, plastics, photography and videography, and other industries.
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands‑on DevOps Manager with a strong background in cloud security, automation, and technical leadership. This role is ideal for someone who excels at building secure, scalable systems with a particular focus on supporting advanced AI and data‑driven workflows, enjoying both direct technical contribution and leading a talented team.
Position Summary
As DevOps Manager, you will lead strategic initiatives to secure and automate our cloud infrastructure, guide a high‑performing engineering team, and actively solve technical challenges. Your main focus will be on strengthening our cloud operations and embedding security best practices, while driving innovation through modern DevOps processes tailored for AI and data‑centric environments. Experience with building and supporting complex data and AI‑related workflows is essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Mentor and Grow the Team – Lead, teach, and grow a talented DevOps engineering team.

Security & Compliance
Ensure Top‑Tier Security – Design, implement, and monitor advanced security protocols in the cloud, particularly for sensitive AI and data workloads.
Manage Risk & Threats – Proactively find and fix vulnerabilities, driving risk mitigation and threat management.
Handle Certification – Lead efforts to achieve and maintain key certifications (like ISO 27001, TISAX) and meet all regulatory and internal security standards.
Cloud Operations & Automation
Automate Everything – Architect and optimize systems to be fully automated for greater efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
Ensure Reliability – Build and maintain a highly reliable, scalable, and high‑performing cloud infrastructure (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
Hands‑On Contribution – Work alongside the team on technical tasks, including code reviews and troubleshooting complex issues.
Support Data Workflows – Collaborate with data and engineering teams to ensure secure and scalable workflows for data‑intensive and AI‑driven initiatives.
Address Unique Challenges – Proactively tackle the specific technical needs and challenges of large, complex workloads.
Promote Innovation – Foster a culture of ongoing enhancement, always looking for ways to improve practices and drive innovation.
Monitor and React – Organize the team to constantly monitor applications for issues and vulnerabilities, and coordinate a fast, effective response to minimize business impact when incidents occur.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and relevant work experience.
Proven experience in DevOps leadership roles, DevOps culture and agile methodologies.
Solid hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure.
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools and Infrastructure as Code.
Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, TISAX).
Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Preferred
Azure certifications (AZ‑400, AZ‑305, AZ‑104, AZ‑204).
Experience managing global cloud subscriptions, including Chinese regional subscriptions and their regulatory requirements.
Location
This role is based in Reggio Emilia, Italy, and is a hybrid role in line with current company policy.
