Within the Procurement Department, the PEQ Senior Buyer is responsible for the purchasing activities of assigned Purchase Requisitions in compliance with Corporate and Project Procedures and under the supervision of the Purchasing Critical and Proprietary Equipment Head of Department.

Main Responsibilities:

Preparation of bidder lists and management of vendor pre‑qualification

Organize and manage competitive tenders, including RFQs, bid clarifications, and evaluations, leveraging also e-Procurement System

Lead commercial and contractual negotiations of Purchase Orders

Ensure back‑to‑back alignment between Supply Agreements (Main Contracts with Clients) and Purchase Orders terms and conditions, when necessary

Perform Economical Bid Evaluation and propose awarding

Cooperate with Project Teams in highlighting main reasons of eventual extra

budgets and proposing mitigation actions

Secure compliance with internal procedures and protocols

Support and cooperate with the Project Procurement Manager / Coordinator

during the development of the supplies in case of any commercial problem with

Vendors (such as claims, change order request, Liquidated Damages discussion,

etc.) Required Skills:

Minimum 5 years of Purchasing experience

Experience in operating in international challenging environment

Experience in-end-to end tender management (RFx Process). E-procurement

systems knowledge is a plus. xdwybme

Design experience in engineering departments is a plus

Experience in prepare and execute negotiation with suppliers both on costs and

SAP knowledge for supplies management

Experience in contract preparation and negotiation

Ability to interface and manage internal stakeholders

Ability to manage multiple priorities

Problem solving skills and ability to resolve conflicting situations

Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language

Team player with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships

Good computer skills, proficient with MS Office applications and SAP

Availability to travel for short period in Italy and abroad.

Education: University Degree in Business & Economics Engineering is a plus

Work Location: Milan/Rome
