As a Data Scientist on the Science team, you will partner with other scientists and data engineers as well as Business Intelligence, Technical Program Management, and Software teams to model and optimize our power and thermal infrastructure. Your work will directly influence data center topology and drive cost savings.

Key Responsibilities

- Proactively identify opportunities and insights through analysis and provide solutions to automate and optimize power utilization.

- Apply data science techniques and tools to solve difficult business problems with unclear solution approaches.

- Collaborate with Engineering teams to obtain useful data by building SQL/ETL queries or scripts.

- Build models and automated tools using statistical, econometric, network modeling, machine learning algorithms and neural networks.

- Validate models against alternative approaches, expected and observed outcomes, and business KPIs.

- Collaborate with Engineering teams to implement models in a compliant manner, considering computational demands, accuracy, and reliability.

Basic Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of data scientist or similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling and communication.

- Experience with data scripting languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.) or statistical/mathematical software (R, SAS, Matlab, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

- 3+ years of data/research scientist, statistician or quantitative analyst experience in an internet-based company with complex and large data sources.

Base salary range: $108,300 - $160,000 annually (location dependent).
