ON-SITE IN MICHIGAN, USA

We are looking for a:

Vehicle Diagnostic Engineer

to perform system-level diagnostics and testing during the development and validation phases. The role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and resolving system issues, ensuring robust root cause solutions and supporting quality processes.

Main Responsibilities:

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for system malfunctions.

Analyze CAN traffic, UDS, DTCs, logs and failure reports to isolate problems.

Execute bench and vehicle level testing using ETAS INCA and diagnostic tools.

Document issues and propose corrective actions in collaboration with calibration and controls teams.

Support quality processes (8D, DFSS, A3) and maintain detailed reporting of test results.

Required Skills & Tools:

Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and failure analysis.

Knowledge of CAN/LIN, UDS, dynamometer & vehicle testing.

Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies DTC/DID, DFSS / A3.

Bench and/or field testing, ETAS INCA logging and measurement tools.

Knowledge of diagnostic frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience in automotive powertrain development, diagnostics, or validation.

Hands-on experience with vehicle testing and instrumentation.
