Southern European Sales Manager (Molecular Diagnostics)

The Company develops, manufactures, and commercialises a range of molecular assays and instrumentation to deliver workflows and services that enable seamless end-to-end solutions from sample to result across multiple sectors including human health, animal health and environmental.
The Company is divided into three business segments:
Clinical
: a broad portfolio of human clinical in vitro diagnostic products, workflows and services focused on three therapeutic areas:
Reproductive Health: NIPT, Cystic Fibrosis and other rapid aneuploidy tests
Precision Medicine: DPYD genotyping assay
Winterplex, multiplex winter respiratory PCR panel
Instrumentation
: a portfolio of next generation size selection DNA sample preparation platforms and rapid PCR machines, including:
Ranger® Technology: automated DNA sample preparation and target enrichment technology
genesig q16 and q32 real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR) instruments

range of assays and services for the life science industry:
Design, manufacture, and supply of high-performance qPCR assays and workflows for use in human health, agriculture, veterinary and environmental, to support global health organisations and the research industry
Pharmaceutical research services: whole genome sequencing (WGS) / whole exome sequencing (WES)
We are seeking a dynamic,
results-oriented
Southern European Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow our commercial operations across the region. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pipeline development to closing deals and managing long-term client relationships.
Sales Leadership
Develop, own, execute & deliver the regional sales strategy across the full Yourgene & Primer Design portfolio.
Achieve and exceed revenue targets through strategic planning, pipeline development, and effective execution.
Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across direct and indirect channels.
Personally manage key customer relationships and develop a strong KOL network.
Develop & implement a GTM strategy including distributors & sales agents.
Oversee the Italian & Iberia tender management function, ensuring efficient, compliant execution of all public procurement activities across Southern Europe.
Provide strategic direction and coaching to the Tender administrator, ensuring high‑quality tender submissions aligned with commercial priorities and revenue targets.
Partner cross‑functionally with commercial, legal, finance, and supply chain teams to remove obstacles, optimise bid strategies, and drive successful tender outcomes.
Monitor regional tender pipelines, evaluate risks and opportunities, and present insights, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Customer & Market Engagement
Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and regional dynamics to inform strategy.
Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align on go-to-market strategies.
Ensure accurate and timely CRM updates, including forecasting and reporting.
Comply with all Health & Safety regulations, the UK Bribery Act, and internal Quality Systems.

3–5 years of proven success in B2B sales, ideally in genomics or life sciences.
~ International sales experience
~ Demonstrated hunter-style sales approach with a strong close rate.
~ Experience in both direct and indirect sales models.
~ Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools.
~ Sales to public and private hospitals, diagnostic labs, pharma, and biopharma sectors.
~ Understanding of culturally diverse and tender-driven markets.
