Summary The Associate Director / Director of Human Resources will act as a strategic partner to commercial and functional leaders across a designated cluster of countries within the EMEA region.

The ideal candidate may be based in

Italy or Spain .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities This role is pivotal in enabling the business to achieve its priorities by proactively designing and executing HR strategies aligned with organizational goals. The successful candidate will balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational delivery, ensuring HR practices are simplified, standardized, and compliant across global, regional, and local contexts

Strategic HR Leadership Translate business priorities into actionable HR strategies that drive growth and performance. Partner with cluster leadership to align workforce planning, talent development, and organizational design. Operational & Tactical Delivery Lead a team of 3–5 HR professionals, while leveraging Centers of Excellence (COEs) and cross-functional networks. Roll up sleeves to manage tactical HR operations when needed, ensuring seamless execution. Global–Regional–Local Integration Simplify and standardize HR processes, balancing global frameworks with regional relevance and local compliance. Ensure adherence to EU employment law and deep compliance with at least one country’s legal framework. Change & Transformation Sponsor and lead HR projects including M&A integration, spin-offs, restructuring, and talent mobility initiatives. Drive organizational agility and resilience through proactive HR interventions. Leadership Enablement Act as a coach and trusted advisor to leaders and managers, enhancing their capability to lead teams effectively. Serve as a brand ambassador, reinforcing company values and culture through HR practices. Financial & Resource Management Manage HR budgets of approximately $1M USD, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Oversee vendor relationships and optimize HR service delivery. Culture & Engagement Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across the cluster. Drive employee engagement through targeted initiatives and feedback mechanisms.

Requirements Strong business acumen with ability to align HR strategy to commercial priorities. Agile HR mindset with experience in driving organizational adaptability. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions and geographies. Hands-on approach with willingness to balance strategic initiatives and operational delivery. High integrity, discretion, and ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred). Professional HR certification (SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent). Associate Director level: 8+ years of progressive HR experience with exposure to cluster/regional responsibilities. Director level: 12+ years of HR leadership experience in complex, multinational organizations with significant revenue responsibility. Proven track record in M&A, restructuring, and organizational transformation. Familiarity with EU employment law; deep expertise in at least one country’s employment legislation and practices. Fluency in English plus at least one language spoken within the supported cluster (Italian/Spanish/Portuguese).
