Network Engineer – Permanent Location: Milan, Italy Mode of Work: Work from Office Job Type: Permanent Shift: 24/7 Rotational Shift (Rotational Off) We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Milan. This role is ideal for a hands-on networking professional with strong expertise in enterprise networks, SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, and Zero Trust security, who is comfortable operating in a global, business-critical environment. Role Overview As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, operating, and supporting enterprise LAN/WAN/SD-WAN and cloud-connected networks. You will work closely with international teams and vendors, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across multi-site environments. Expectations / Experience

4–7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking (LAN / WAN / SD-WAN) Strong operational knowledge of Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) PAC file management Tunnel modes Advanced firewall and security policies Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki SD-WAN, templates, policies Remote troubleshooting Proven experience with cloud interconnection, such as: Equinix Fabric AWS Direct Connect Azure Express Route Google Cloud Interconnect Solid understanding of routing and networking fundamentals: MPLS, VPNs, DNS, NAT, BGP Experience working with monitoring tools, logs, and alerting integrations Fluent English (written and spoken) Ability to work independently and collaborate with global teams and vendors

Required / Preferred Skills

Experience implementing Zero Trust architecture and microsegmentation Scripting or automation exposure (Python, Bash, or similar) Experience supporting global retail or multi-site network environments Familiarity with Equinix Network Edge and Cloud Router concepts Infrastructure automation mindset is a plus
