Purpose of the position
As ASPP / HSE Officer you will respond to the Health & Safety Sustainable Infrastructures Projects Manager and be part of the HSE Function within the Business line Sustainable Infrastructures, providing necessary support to the Responsible of Prevention & Protection and contributing to development, management and improvement of the Health & Safety Management System and all the Health & Safety requirements, throughout the engineering, procurement and construction phases of the infrastructural projects.
How can you support us
Conduct specific risk evaluations, assist the Project engineering and Management teams in the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and guarantee the HSE permitting processes.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of key safety documents (POS, DVR, DUVRI, Project HSE Plan), manage work permit deadlines, and ensure regulatory compliance using specific software.
Plan, issue, update and supervise HSE procedures both at Business line and project level.
Participate in coordination meetings with the Projects HSE Functions, organize HSE training and induction sessions, promote the company's HSE culture and campaigns among the workforce.
Monitor site operations and subcontractors’ activities through regular HSE inspections, supporting Senior managers in their HSE walkabouts and the Corporate HSE Function in their internal HSE audits, using dedicated checklists and tools to enforce the Control Plan.
Generate periodic HSE reports, site statistics, and summaries using Corporate HSE management systems to track performance against objectives.
Identify non-conformities, take part in incident investigations, and implement corrective actions or recovery plans to enhance safety standards.
Guarantee a constant updating of regulatory Health & Safety legal requirements and knowledge of the main Health and Safety regulations applicable both at Business line and projects level.
Support the Business Line in the preliminary evaluation and implementation of Innovative solutions for HSE.
Support the Tendering team with reference to HSE aspects as prequalification, safety analysis of tender documentation and suppliers HSE evaluation.
What are we looking for
Education:
Master's degree / bachelor's degree in technical disciplines (chemistry, geology, geotechnics, engineering, architecture, etc.) preferably civil and environmental engineering, safety engineering, prevention techniques in the environment and in the workplace.
Experience:
5 years' experience, preferably within structured industrial contexts and complex construction sites.
Languages:
English (B1-B2), Italian
Technical Skills:
Excellent knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 requirements and of the main processes and documented information to be maintained according to an ISO 45001 certified Management System.
Excellent knowledge of L.ve Decree 81/08 and other Italian workplace safety regulations.
Issuing and maintaining safety documentation (DVR - DUVRI - POS - VITP - Emergency Plans).
Significant experience in managing health and safety aspects on construction sites, good knowledge of managing relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors and competent local authorities.
Minimum knowledge of construction Site Management in mining regulations and issuing of main documents (DSSC, DSS, etc.).
Specific Health and Safety regulations for construction site management (Seveso, Confined Spaces, Pressure Equipment-PED, Machinery Regulation, Work at Height, etc.).
Minimum knowledge of the Italian regulations on public procurement, the involved subjects and the safety aspects related to public contracts (L.ve Decree 36/2023, client, consortium, contractor, subcontractor, supplier, PSC, "COSTI & ONERI" for safety, etc.).
Minimum knowledge of waste and chemical substance management on construction sites.
HSE training and communication skills, Emergency management and incident response.
What else should you know
You will contribute to the implementation of the Health & Safety Management System and to carrying out the activities of the Prevention and Protection Service for the Sustainable Infrastructure Business Line.
