Subcontractors Quality Engineer

The candidate will ensure the implementation of all Product Assurance (PA) tasks for Mechanical, Pyrotechnic and Propulsion articles developed by System Suppliers (Sub-contractors) for space projects. She/he will:

- Follow product development and relevant steps, such as Design Reviews until qualification

- Manage verifications associated to production, testing, product audits, quality verifications before delivery

- Manage escapes and Non‑Conformances, related root causes and corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence. Ensuring proper visibility to Customer and Authorities

- Prepare and process KPIs for the relevant Supply Chain Quality processes

- Ensure compliance to project requirements or, as applicable, management of deviations

- Establish and maintain appropriate interface with subcontractor’s quality representative for all relevant PA matters

- Supervise and direct product development and qualification for all relevant quality aspects

- Ensure that lessons learnt are formalized, capitalized and promoted

- Coordinate the activities of the project quality team, ensuring that the PA requirements are properly flowed down at all subcontractors

- Participate in project meetings and reviews with subcontractors, providing quality contributions

- Exercise the duly alerts and the tight of vetoes according to the existing processes

- Ensure the continuous improvement processes are implemented
