The Role We're seeking a skilled Mid-Senior Flutter developer to take ownership of our mobile application development. This isn't just another app - you'll be working on a sophisticated audio streaming interface that controls high-end audio hardware and delivers bit-perfect playback to discerning audiophile users. You'll have end-to-end ownership of the Flutter codebase, collaborate closely with embedded Linux and backend engineers, and directly influence the future of Volumio's mobile platform. What you'll do

Own the development and architecture of Volumio's Flutter-based mobile apps Build responsive, reliable playback control and streaming interfaces Design and implement device discovery and hardware control workflows Integrate with Linux-based embedded audio systems Optimize performance for real-time, low-latency audio control scenarios Collaborate closely with our embedded systems and backend teams Contribute to technical decisions and long-term mobile roadmap

Required Skills Core Requirements:

Strong proficiency in Flutter and Dart Solid understanding of Linux systems and command-line tools Experience with audio playback technologies Understanding of networking protocols (m DNS, DLNA/UPn P a plus) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong Plus:

Experience with audio, music, or media-related applications Familiarity with streaming concepts, codecs, or audio APIs Experience with embedded Linux systems Experience with Go and Node.js Familiarity with audio file formats and metadata handling Experience with Io T device control applications

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of audio streaming protocols (ALSA, Pulse Audio, etc.) Experience with Firebase Previous work in the audio hardware or hi-fi industry Contributions to open-source audio projects
