Job Opening – Project Engineer (Oil & Gas EP / EPC Projects)

Location: Italy, Milan Contract Type: Permanent Department: Project Management / Engineering Position Overview We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the execution of Oil & Gas EP / EPC projects, acting as the technical interface between engineering disciplines, project management, procurement, and construction. The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager to ensure that the project is executed in compliance with technical requirements, schedule, budget, and contractual obligations. Key Responsibilities Coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation) Ensure technical consistency between FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Vendor documentation Monitor engineering progress, schedules, and deliverables Support the preparation and implementation of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) Act as technical interface with the Client for clarifications, technical queries, and design reviews Support procurement activities including technical requisitions, datasheets, and vendor document reviews Provide technical support during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases Support change management activities and assess technical impacts on cost and schedule Ensure compliance with applicable international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO) Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines 5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas EP / EPC projects Solid understanding of EPC engineering workflows Ability to read and integrate P&IDs, layouts, 3D models, and technical specifications Able to perform transversal engineering coordination Able to perform technical project coordination across the company departments [Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Shop support, Logistic] Able to perform meticulous engineering and supplies requisitioning preparation and proj. spec. checking Able to perform Vendors follow up on the engineering stage Able to perform Client technical interface Provide reporting to assigned Project Manager and Mechanical Engineering Manager Good communications skills and team working Attitude on getting results and problem solving Experience working with international clients and suppliers Good organization and coordination skills Capability on use proper computer applications on Microsoft Office 365 Familiar with AUTOCAD and 3D Models applications (Tekla, Naviswork mainly) Fluent English (written and spoken) Willingness to travel to project sites, company offices and vendors facilities, if required Nice to Have Experience in Steam Reformer and Fired Heaters packages Previous exposure to construction or site activities Multicultural project experience What We Offer Involvement in challenging international EP / EPC projects Professional growth in a structured engineering environment Opportunity to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams Competitive compensation package based on the experience Interested can submit their CVs along with the following details to:
