Senior Technical Program Manager, EC2 Capacity Customer Experience Job ID: 2884625 | Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides secure, resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web‑scale cloud computing easier and more cost effective for developers. On the EC2 Capacity Customer Experience (CCX) team within AWS, our mission is to ensure the right capacity is available for customers through forecasting, planning, guidance and execution, especially for large unpredictable scaling events. The EC2 CCX team is searching for a passionate, driven, and talented technical program manager to plan customer capacity within our Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) portfolio. This portfolio enables EC2 to deliver cloud services to government customers who have unique access control, security, and compliance requirements. This role serves as EC2’s primary POC for managing demand intake, organizing supportability scenarios to influence VP+ business decisions, and ensuring infrastructure and EC2 teams execute against global commitments. This customer‑facing role includes driving key initiatives that support goals/KPIs that are measured and reported to executive leadership. You will make high‑velocity decisions under circumstances that can at times be ambiguous. As the business of cloud computing grows increasingly technologically complex, it also brings new opportunity to drive capital efficiency and ensure the right decisions are getting made to the delight of our customers. Additional responsibilities include driving process improvements and collaborating with engineering organizations to build new technologies that automate all aspects of EC2’s capacity planning and delivery within the portfolio. From Day 1, Technical Program Managers are given ownership and the autonomy to think strategically and make data‐driven decisions, along with the ability to drive significant impact on the customer experience as well as the business. This role requires working with professionals in many different domains including Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Finance along with high visibility to senior leaders at AWS. This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. A successful clearance crossover to AWS is required prior to a Day 1 start. About the team Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IOT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions. Basic Qualifications

5+ years of technical product or program management experience Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi‑million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams

The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
