Compliance Specialist

to join our Compliance Team.

As an internal member of the Compliance Function, the

Compliance Specialist

performs second-line compliance activities supporting the Head of Compliance in the implementation of the Compliance Operating Model. The role contributes to compliance risk monitoring through the execution of compliance testing and control assurance activities, including the review of controls, documentation of results, and follow-up of remediation actions, in accordance with methodologies and priorities defined by the Head of Compliance. Accountability for compliance oversight, judgments, and regulatory interactions remains with the Head of Compliance.

Main accountabilities (non-exhaustive list): 1. Compliance Management System & Internal Control - Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the internal Compliance Management System. - Collaborate with Internal Control and Risk Management to ensure alignment. - Support drafting and maintenance of policies, standards and related documentation.

2. Compliance Risk Identification & Assessment - Support the identification and assessment of applicable compliance requirements and risks. - Map compliance risks to relevant processes and activities and support Process Risk Assessments in accordance with defined methodologies.

3. Compliance Risk Monitoring & Second-Line Assurance - Perform compliance risk monitoring activities as part of the Compliance Monitoring Plan. - Execute compliance testing and control assurance activities in accordance with methodologies and priorities defined by the Head of Compliance. - Document testing procedures, results, and follow-up actions, including the monitoring of remediation measures.

4. Reporting & Documentation - Support the preparation of Compliance Reports and the Compliance Plan by contributing analyses, testing outputs, and supporting documentation. - Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of compliance documentation and evidence in internal systems.

5. Advisory Support & Coordination - Provide operational compliance guidance to internal stakeholders within the defined scope of the Compliance Function. - Support monitoring of regulatory developments and contribute to the assessment of their potential impact. - Coordinate with other control functions as required.

Desirable skills & competencies and background: Degree in Law, Risk Management, Audit, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field 3 to 5 years of experience in a compliance, risk management, internal audit, or similar control function and experience in the insurance / reinsurance sector is a plus Professional certifications in compliance, risk, audit, or internal control are considered an advantage

Practical experience in compliance testing, control assessment, or assurance activities is strongly preferred Practical experience with Compliance, Risk, or GRC tools (e.g. Archer or similar platforms) is considered an advantage Ability to work with compliance data, indicators, and evidence in structured IT environments Ability to interpret regulatory and internal requirements and translate them into operational controls and testing activities

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, Word, and Power Point High attention to detail and strong documentation skills Ability to work operationally while maintaining independence, professional judgment, and constructive challenge Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate compliance risks and control effectiveness Fluent in English, any other language would be considered an asset
