Senior Component Engineer

Component Owner – Connectivity ECU (Automotive)

Mission Own the end-to-end development and integration of a new Connectivity ECU on a premium platform, ensuring requirement compliance, quality, and timing through SOP and lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities - Technical ownership of the Connectivity ECU aligned to vehicle milestones - Manage ECU SW releases (VR/Verbund), datasets/coding, part numbers/variants per market - Drive certifications and regulatory compliance across required countries - Maintain technical/functional requirements and manage change requests - Steer ECU suppliers; coordinate cross-functional stakeholders - Lead defect management: trace analysis, triage, closure to official releases - Author and maintain test specifications (execution supported by a test team) - Produce reports/presentations, meeting minutes; prepare vehicles/ECUs for test drives - Attend customer/supplier technical workshops and reviews

Qualifications - Master’s in Telecommunications/Electrical/Computer Engineering or related - 5+ years as Component Owner in automotive connectivity - 3+ years across SDLC: systems engineering, integration, testing - Fluent English; strong communication and coordination skills - Proven automotive project management - Deep knowledge of infotainment HW/SW and protocols: CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet, UDS - Advanced troubleshooting and ECU trace analysis - Agile methods; Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) - Proficiency with Vector CANoe and CANalyzer; serial trace capture, debugging, analysis - Ability to prioritize and handle multiple streams - Willingness for on-site work and frequent EU travel
