Overview
Competitor Monitoring Team (CMT) is focused on ensuring Amazon stays the most customer‑centric company in the global e‑commerce landscape by monitoring pricing and competitiveness across international marketplaces. The Manager – Operations leads a high‑performing team that manages end‑to‑end pricing operations for retail categories in Amazon’s international marketplaces. This role involves organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work, owning production and quality KPIs, and driving operational and business goals through stakeholder influence and technology collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of managers and employees to meet operational and business goals.
- Drive data‑oriented analysis and process improvements to achieve performance targets.
- Communicate with stakeholders across multiple lines of business on milestones, changes, escalations and insights.
- Ensure high quality standards for interviewing, hiring and onboarding of employees at all levels.
- Execute coaching, development and engagement programs for the team.
- Represent the team in external/internal communication such as blurbs, reports and meetings.
- Own escalation management and resolve complex tickets and non‑standard tasks.
- Prepare and present operational reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
- Prioritize metrics and drive completion of work allocation for the function independently.
- Manage mentorship and coaching activities, including associate growth and training content.
- Act as the expert and primary contact for process issues, escalations and coaching.
- Demonstrate understanding of performance and leadership bars and apply them to hiring decisions.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of team management experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience leading process improvements.
- 2+ years of program or project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, ETL) and experience working with large data sets.
- Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma concepts.
- Experience managing critical operational processes with SLA responsibility.
