The Role
We are seeking a Commercial Operations Manager to oversee the commercial activities of our Italian asset portfolio within a dynamic and international renewable energy environment. In this role, the Commercial Operations Manager will lead Route‑to‑Market and PPA contract management, ensure accurate market operations (DAM, IDM, MSD, BESS, hedging), and maintain high‑quality settlement, invoicing, and revenue reporting processes. The Commercial Operations Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams, including O&M, Asset Management, Engineering & Construction, and Finance, to support negotiation processes, maintain robust data governance, and drive performance monitoring and reporting across the Italian market. This position plays a key role in improving operational efficiency, optimising market results, and ensuring compliance with commercial and regulatory requirements.
The Commercial Operations Manager will also contribute to revenue forecasting and modelling, support activities related to guarantees of origin and other environmental attributes and stay ahead of regulatory developments affecting the Italian energy markets. Working within a European context, the Commercial Operations Manager will help harmonise best practices across countries while representing Commercial Operations Italy within cross‑functional initiatives. Desirable Skills
Strong understanding of Italian energy markets, contractual structures, and Route‑to‑Market dynamics
Experience managing PPAs, back‑office processes, and settlement activities
Ability to analyse data, build revenue models, and interpret market performance
Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities
Autonomous, proactive, and comfortable working in an international fast‑paced environment
Tech fluency, including familiarity with data‑driven or AI‑based tools
