Energy Portfolio Leader

Position: Energy Portfolio Strategy and Optimisation LeaderLocation: Milan, ItalyWho are we recruiting for:We are supporting a leading European renewable energy platform with a diversified portfolio of wind, solar, and battery storage assets across several European markets. As the company continues scaling its commercial and asset management platform, they are strengthening their commercial optimisation and portfolio strategy capabilities.What will you be doing:Lead the design and execution of portfolio optimisation and hedging strategies across European power marketsBuild and manage quantitative capabilities to support data-driven portfolio and market decision makingWork closely with commercial origination teams to structure and evaluate structured energy contracts, including PPAs and other long-term offtake arrangementsDevelop centralised valuation, pricing, and commercial modelling frameworks for internal teamsPartner with Trading and Risk functions to improve hedge execution and market exposure managementMonitor electricity market developments and build long-term pricing and market outlook modelsApply quantitative and statistical techniques to optimise portfolio performance and manage risk exposureDefine performance KPIs and implement automated reporting and portfolio monitoring processesAre you the ideal candidate?Minimum of 3 years’ experience in energy trading, portfolio management, or risk management roles with exposure to commercial PnL environmentsStrong understanding of power markets, renewable energy commercialisation, and hedging instrumentsExperience using quantitative modelling approaches to analyse risk and market performanceProficiency in Python, R, SQL, or similar data analytics tools is highly desirableStrong communication skills with the ability to translate quantitative analysis into commercial insightsDegree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Physical Sciences, or related disciplinesFluent English requiredWhat’s in it for you:Competitive remuneration package with performance-linked incentivesLeadership role within a strategic commercial optimisation functionExposure to large-scale renewable energy assets across EuropeLong-term career development within a growing international organisationWho we are:Executive Integrity is a global executive search consultancy focused on green technology and renewable energy talent, supporting the transition towards a more sustainable world.
