Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site IT Administrator role located in Chennai. The IT Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, end-user systems, and day-to-day IT operations.The role focuses on hardware, software, network, and access support to ensure smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support day-to-day IT infrastructure, including office network (LAN, Wi-Fi) and internet connectivity. - Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls and coordinate with ISPs and service providers during outages or performance issues. - Provide IT support for laptops, peripherals, and commonly used software applications. - Troubleshoot operating system and application issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments. - Handle user onboarding activities including laptop provisioning, account setup, and initial IT orientation. - Execute user offboarding activities such as asset retrieval and timely revocation of system and application access. - Support identity and access management systems (e.g., Okta) for access issues, password resets, and user permissions. - Assist in periodic user access reviews and correct access deviations as identified. - Support endpoint security and data protection tools, including configuration checks, monitoring, and issue resolution. - Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and support procurement, replacement, and lifecycle management of devices. - Track and manage software licenses and subscriptions, including renewals and usage optimization. - Coordinate with IT and non-IT vendors for procurement, warranty, AMC, and support-related activities. - Support physical IT infrastructure such as CCTV systems, biometric access controls, fire safety systems, and power backup. - Assist with penetration testing activities, security incident support, and technical inputs during internal and external audits. - Maintain IT operational documentation and support compliance activities, with working exposure to ISO/IEC 27001 practices.

Skills & Experience Required

- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in IT administration or IT support roles. - Strong practical experience working with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. - Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, and applications. - Strong understanding of networking concepts (LAN, Wi-Fi, firewall). - Experience with IT asset management and user access management. - Working knowledge or exposure to ISMS and ISO/IEC 27001 security and compliance practices. - Experience with IAM tools such as Okta or similar platforms.
