Title: Specialist : Engineering Services & Maintenance
Experience: 14 to 20 years
Qualification: BE/B. Tech (Preferably: Mechanical, Electrical)
Job description:
- Responsible for establishment & review of Maintenance Practices (i.e. Preventive Maintenance, Calibration, & Breakdown Maintenance) for Equipment & Facility including Utilities to support the business functions.
- Ensure compliance of Good Laboratory Practice as per the OECD guidelines, meeting to regulatory requirements, & company guidelines.
- Peer review of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for all operational ESD activities and provide expert commentary on the content and completeness.
- Review of all internal documents (CAPA, deviations, incident reports etc.) and records for clarity and correctness and ensure its timely closure inline to respective SOP's.
- Responsible for monitoring team performance for a regular group or work unit. This includes providing input on hiring; work objectives and their effectiveness and realigning the department as needed. Also responsible for the development of both the Leadership and Technical group within the department.
- Co-ordinate with external vendors for calibration and annual maintenance contract of equipment.
- Responsible for the management of the annual maintenance revenue budget and strategic maintenance investment program in line with expenditure plans and approved budgets.
- To improve the plant infrastructure by incorporating innovations & better technologies and implementing small projects / modifications related to engineering activities
- To identify & implement energy saving measures.
- To ensure effective implementation of cGMP & SHE standards at shop floor level.
- Create a work environment that promotes safety, people training & development and performance orientation in line with APSL values & polices.
- To ensure smooth operation of department and cooperation with other departments to meet the organization goals.
- Exposure in SAP-PM Module & knowledge on Bioreactors, Autoclave, Downstream equipment, PLCs, BMS.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Manage engineering staff in accordance with organization's policies and procedures.
- Train and supervise engineering staff, on the various activities related to the function and ensure compliance.
