Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Accountant role based in Malad West - Mumbai. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Daily tasks will include managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial discrepancies, preparing budgets, analyzing expenses, and assisting with tax filings. You will collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate financial documentation and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Compensation: ₹4,00,000 – ₹5,00,000 per annum (CTC)

Key Responsibilities1. GST Compliance

- Accurate GST computation and reconciliation - Preparation and filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns - Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation and vendor follow-ups - Handling GST notices, clarifications, and department queries - Monthly reconciliation of GST with books of accounts

2. TDS & Direct Tax Compliance

- TDS computation and timely deduction as per applicable sections - Filing of quarterly TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, etc.) - Generation and issuance of Form 16 / 16A - Reconciliation with Form 26AS and TRACES portal - Handling notices and responding to tax queries

3. Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Passing Journal Vouchers (JV), ledger scrutiny, and reconciliation - Basic accounting entries in Tally (or similar accounting software) - Bank reconciliation, vendor reconciliation, and debtor reconciliation - Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation - Assisting in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing

4. Corporate & Statutory Coordination

- Liaising with Company Secretary (CS) for ROC filings and compliance matters - Coordinating with statutory auditors for audit requirements - Maintaining statutory registers and compliance records - Supporting board documentation and financial data preparation

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong skills in Financial Reporting, Budget Preparation, and Financial Analysis - Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Reconciliation processes - Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com); M.Com preferred - 3–5 years of relevant accounting and compliance experience - Strong knowledge of GST laws and practical filing experience - Hands-on experience with TDS computation and return filing - Proficiency in Tally (mandatory) - Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and journal entries - Good working knowledge of MS Excel
