Job Purpose The Assistant Manager – US Operations (Ocean Imports) will be responsible for managing end-to-end ocean import operations and leading the customer support function for US clients. The role requires strong expertise in freight forwarding operations, team handling experience, and the ability to ensure high levels of service quality and compliance. Role & Responsibilities Manage end-to-end Ocean Import operations including documentation, booking, shipment tracking, and delivery coordination Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and freight forwarding regulations Supervise and guide the operations team to achieve service excellence Act as the primary point of contact for US customers for operational queries and issue resolution Provide quotations and operational support to customers Monitor shipment status and ensure timely updates to clients Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency Key Deliverables Smooth execution of Ocean Import shipments from origin to final delivery Effective day-to-day management of freight forwarding documentation and tracking Strong customer relationship management and timely issue resolution Team productivity and performance management Compliance adherence and operational accuracy Mandatory Skills 8+ years of experience in the Freight Forwarding industry Strong expertise in Ocean Freight – End-to-End Operations & Customer Support Team Handling and Leadership experience (Managerial exposure mandatory) Experience working in night shifts (US shift) Good communication skills and professional attitude Preferred Profile Experience handling US customers Strong problem-solving and coordination skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously Benefits (Out of CTC) Performance Bonus up to 1 month gross salary (based on performance; percentage may vary) Insurance Coverage: GMC, Accident Insurance & Life Insurance Free Dinner & Breakfast Snacks provided every 4 hours
