Sr. Network Engineer - MPLS Core & Optics
Location: Gurugram (Hybrid Role)
Fulltime Permanent Role
Exp. - 5+ Years
1. Core networking: IP/MPLS, Ethernet, FTTH, SDH, DWDM, OTN, ASON.
2.Routing protocols: RIP (v1/v2), IS-IS, OSPF, BFD, BGPv4, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP, GRE, IPv6, redistribution.
3.Switching features: VTP, STP/MST/RSTP, trunking, VLANs, Layer 3 switching, EtherChannels.
4.Services and features: L1/L2 Ethernet circuits, ILL, P2P, L2VPN, L3VPN, NAT, SNMP, SYSLOG, NTP, DHCP, CDP, DNS, HTTP
5.IP/MPLS core networks, Ethernet, FTTH, SDH, DWDM, OTN, ASON deployment/maintenance (core packet networks, ring migrations, service protection in NOC/transmission)
6.Nokia 7750/7250 series routers (configurations/migrations), Cisco ASR 903/920-I/920-O/9010, NCS 540/560/7609/3700/3300/3450; L2/L3 VPN, ILL/P2P/MPLS services.
7.Detailed understanding of IP/MPLS concepts, related technologies, and protocols
8.Experienced in configuring and/or designing Network Management Systems in carrier networks
9.Experience with carrier networking protocols (BGP/MPL,S/etc.), VPNs, QoS, Multicast, Security, etc.
Responsibilities:
1.Configure Nokia 7750/7250 routers for ISP traffic migrations from Huawei/Cisco/Juniper/ECI; prepare MOPs and execute it
2.Plan and execute IP/MPLS networks (access/aggregation/core over OFC/GIS) for 4G/5G deployments; integrate data centers with ISP equipment, power, and fiber; manage vendors and timelines.
3.Handle NOC fault management: test/provision/protect L1/L2 Ethernet/IP-MPLS circuits using BER testers; monitor/debug alarms; resolve issues within SLA at Customer site.
4.Provide pre-sales/client support: deliver ILL/L2VPN/L3VPN solutions; ensure end-to-end telecom data products delivery.
5.Manage vendor coordination and field teams for seamless network rollouts; interact with technical designers to optimize customer site solutions.
6.Conduct end-to-end testing of Ethernet circuits with BER meters and analyzers; generate test reports and coordinate protection paths for mobility/enterprise links.
7.Oversee data center commissioning including FDMS/ODF fiber management and DWDM connectivity at core/aggregation layers.
