About the Role
The General Manager – Sourcing will lead and manage the end-to-end sourcing and procurement function for all raw materials (RM), loose furniture, and services for interior fit-out projects. This role is critical in driving cost optimization, supplier partnerships, quality assurance, and timely project delivery across multiple locations.
The incumbent will work closely with design, project management, operations, finance, and vendors to ensure seamless sourcing aligned with business growth and profitability goals.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Define and implement the overall sourcing strategy for raw materials, loose furniture, and service contracts.
Develop category-wise procurement plans aligned with project requirements and business forecasts.
Drive cost reduction initiatives, value engineering, and long-term sourcing efficiencies.
Vendor Management
Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage strategic vendors and manufacturers.
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and SLAs to ensure best value.
Build long-term partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality, capacity, and reliability.
Periodically review vendor performance on cost, quality, delivery, and compliance.
Operational Excellence
Ensure timely availability of materials and services to meet project schedules.
Manage sourcing for custom furniture, joinery, finishes, MEP-related materials, and site services.
Establish and monitor procurement KPIs, MIS, and dashboards.
Implement robust procurement processes, controls, and governance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with design, estimation, projects, and operations teams for BOQs, specifications, and value engineering.
Support teams during execution stages.
Coordinate with finance for budgeting, cash flow planning, and vendor payments.
Team Leadership
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sourcing team.
Define roles, performance metrics, and career development plans for team members.
Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Risk & Compliance
Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, price volatility, and dependency risks.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability norms
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Supply Chain, or related field
(MBA / Post-graduate qualification preferred).
10–15 years of experience in sourcing / procurement within the interior fit-out, construction, or furniture industry.
Proven experience managing sourcing for: Raw materials (wood, boards, hardware, finishes, MEP materials, etc.),Loose furniture (custom & modular)
Services (installation, logistics, fabrication, subcontracting)
Strong negotiation and vendor management expertise.
Experience handling large-scale, multi-site projects and high-value procurement.
