Senior ETL Tester

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior ETL Tester with strong SQL expertise, Data Warehouse Testing (DWT) exposure, and domain knowledge in Equity/Capital Markets. The candidate will be responsible for validating data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting high-quality data delivery for financial systems.

Required Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience in SQL (complex queries, joins, aggregations, subqueries) Experience in ETL Testing (data validation, source-to-target testing) Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions, star/snowflake schema) Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Ab Initio) Good understanding of data reconciliation and data quality checks Exposure to Capital Markets / Equity Markets (trade lifecycle, securities, pricing, etc.) Familiarity with testing methodologies (functional, regression, UAT support) Experience working with large datasets and performance tuning Basic knowledge of scripting (Python/Shell) is a plus

Key Responsibilities: Perform end-to-end ETL testing including data extraction, transformation, and loading validation Validate source-to-target mappings and ensure data completeness and accuracy Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation Analyze business requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases Identify, log, and track data defects/issues and work with developers for resolution Perform data integrity, data quality, and regression testing Validate data warehouse structures (fact/dimension tables, data marts) Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders Support UAT and production validation activities Ensure compliance with financial data standards and governance

Good to Have: Experience in Banking Domain Knowledge of financial instruments (stocks, derivatives, bonds) Exposure to risk and compliance reporting Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Python-based frameworks for ETL testing) Familiarity with BI/Reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Cognos) Exposure to Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Experience in Agile/Scrum environments Certifications in Data Warehousing, Testing, or Capital Markets
