Job description:
Azista is seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong background in electronics, RF and avionics to contribute to the design, integration, and testing of advanced spacecraft systems. This role requires knowledge in spacecraft electronics, including power systems, avionics, RF Systems, communication interfaces, and radiation-hardened designs. You will work across the mission lifecycle, collaborating with subsystem teams to ensure robust and efficient satellite systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electronics & Avionics Design: Contribute to design and integration of power distribution, avionics and communication systems, ensuring compliance with space-grade standards.
- System Architecture & Integration: Perform trade-off studies, optimize electronic system mass/power/data budgets, and ensure seamless subsystem integration.
- Testing & Validation: Lead Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing, ensuring system reliability under space conditions.
- Radiation & Reliability Analysis: Evaluate component selection for space environments, ensuring robustness against radiation and thermal stresses.
- Launch & In-Orbit Operations: Support launch campaigns, in-orbit commissioning, and provide expert guidance during critical mission phases.
- Technical Documentation & Compliance: Develop key reports, including ICDs, CONOPS, V&V plans, and electronic system design specifications.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge and Aptitude: Knowledge of concepts like spacecraft systems requirements, integration, interface definition and verification. A strong interest in learning is essential.
- Technical Proficiency: Exposure to topics like space environment, spacecraft avionics, EMI/EMC and avionics software integration is highly desired.Valid GATE score (M. Tech) is preferred.
- Tools & Software: MATLAB/Simulink, circuit simulation tools. Knowledge of STK/GMAT is desired.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with external stakeholders. Understanding of terminology used in the spacecraft design.
- Experience in CANSAT, YUVIKA, student CubeSat, Astronomy Olympiads, Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon, Robotics Challenges etc.
