Database Lead (5-10 yrs)

About Position

Adtech Corp is a CMMI Level 3 technology consulting firm based in Hyderabad seeking a Database Lead for a full-time onsite role. This position requires 5 to 10 years of experience with a strong focus on managing and optimizing PostgreSQL or SQL Server or MySQL environments. You will be responsible for the availability and scalability of database systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align data structures with organizational objectives. Immediate joiners are preferred for this leadership role centered on digital transformation and system performance.

Qualification

Possess 5 to 10 years of experience in database development with at least 5 years focused on advanced PostgreSQL concepts ·

Demonstrate a proven track record in data modeling and architecture and debugging and performance optimization ·

Show strong knowledge of partitioning and replication and sharding and parallel queries ·

Maintain hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Git or Jenkins or Azure DevOps ·

Experience with cloud databases like AWS RDS and Aurora ·

Exhibit excellent problem solving and documentation skills ·

Exposure to ETL pipelines and PostgreSQL extensions like pg_partman or PostGIS is a plus ·

Experience with Kubernetes based deployments is highly regarded

Responsibilities

Design scalable database architectures and schemas and data models for transactional and analytical workloads ·

Develop and optimize complex stored procedures and UDFs and triggers and queries ·

Perform performance tuning and indexing and partitioning and query plan optimization ·

Implement replication and migration and backup strategies across various environments ·

Manage deployment scripts and versioning using Flyway or Liquibase within CI/CD pipelines ·

Utilize advanced PostgreSQL features including logical streaming replication and JSONB and full-text search ·

Collaborate with backend teams using .NET or Node.js to optimize database access and ORM performance ·

Review database code and set best practices while mentoring developers across the organization
