Role: Kinaxis Pre-Sales / Solution Architect (
Technical Business Consultant / Pre-Sales Architect)
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Kinaxis Pre-Sales / Solution Architect with a strong background in Kinaxis implementations and pre-sales engagements. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with internal sales, delivery, product services, and leadership teams, as well as prospective customers, to demonstrate the value of the Kinaxis Maestro (formerly Kinaxis Rapid Response) platform.
This role is critical in driving the technical aspects of the sales cycle, ensuring customers clearly understand how Kinaxis solutions address complex supply chain challenges. The role also requires strong experience in capability presentations, tailored customer demos, proof-of-concepts, and ownership of proposal responses, working cross-functionally with Leadership, Delivery, Finance, and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales & Demonstrations:
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during sales engagements. Deliver tailored demonstrations showcasing Kinaxis platform capabilities, including AI-powered Maestro features, APIs, and security architecture. Conduct capability walkthroughs aligned to customer-specific business challenges.
Proof of Concept (PoC)
: Lead and support PoCs using real or representative customer data to demonstrate platform effectiveness and value realization.
Solution Design & Proposal Development:
Collaborate with sales teams to develop RFI/RFP responses, solution proposals, and Statements of Work (SOWs). Own technical solutioning and contribute to commercial and delivery alignment.
Effort Estimation:
Provide effort and cost estimations for Small, Medium, and Enterprise-scale customers, based on solution complexity and scope.
Technical Advisory:
Advise customers on solution architecture, including ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle), data modeling, scalability, and security considerations.
Product Advocacy & Collaboration:
Act as a bridge between prospective customers and internal product / services teams to represent customer requirements and solution feasibility.
Value Articulation:
Translate technical capabilities into clear business outcomes (e.g., inventory reduction, improved service levels, faster planning cycles). Present confidently to senior and C-level stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain knowledge and certifications, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience:
10–15+ years of experience in Kinaxis consulting, including implementation and pre-sales roles within supply chain planning environments.
Kinaxis Expertise:
Deep hands-on experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response / Maestro, including Demand & Supply Planning S&OP / IBP, Inventory Optimization, Application Development Framework (ADF), Enterprise Scheduling, AI-driven Kinaxis solutions.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as JavaScript, R, and Python. Experience with API integrations, ETL concepts, and data orchestration.
ERP & Integration Knowledge:
Hands-on exposure to SAP ECC / S/4HANA, Oracle ERP, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms. Knowledge of integration mechanisms such as RFC, OData, and IDocs.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Strong presentation, stakeholder management, and negotiation capabilities.
