Senior Interior Draftsman Who We Are Rubenius Interior Wellbeing delivers design-led commercial interiors and experiential environments where precision in detailing is critical to execution. Our projects demand high-quality technical drawings, coordination across disciplines, and real-time problem-solving on site. Why This Role Matters The Senior Interior Draftsman is responsible for leading the technical drawing process, ensuring all drawings are accurate, coordinated, and execution-ready. This role directly impacts: • Site efficiency and error reduction • Design clarity and execution quality • Coordination between design, site, and vendors What You’ll Own 1. Working Drawings & Technical Leadership • Lead preparation of complete working drawing sets, including: • Layouts, partitions, and zoning • Ceiling & lighting coordination plans • Flooring and finish layouts • Furniture and joinery details • Sections and detailed elevations • Ensure drawings are clear, dimensionally accurate, and site-ready 2. Joinery & Detail Development • Develop detailed drawings for: • Custom furniture • Wall paneling systems • Display units and experiential elements • Resolve design into practical, buildable details 3. Design Coordination • Work closely with architects, designers, and 3D teams to interpret design intent • Identify gaps, clashes, and technical challenges early • Ensure alignment across architecture, interiors, and basic MEP interfaces 4. Site Support & Execution Coordination • Support site teams with drawing clarifications • Visit sites (if required) to validate drawings against execution • Update drawings based on site feedback and changes • Issue revised drawings with proper version control 5. Team Support & Quality Control • Guide junior draftsmen and review their drawings • Maintain consistency in drafting standards, layers, and detailing quality • Ensure all drawings meet internal and project-specific standards 6. BOQ & Documentation Alignment • Support quantity take-offs and BOQ alignment from drawings • Ensure consistency between drawings, specifications, and BOQs • Maintain organized documentation and drawing logs Who We’re Looking For Experience • 5–10 years of experience in: o Interior drafting o Commercial / corporate fit-outs o Experience centers or design-build projects • Strong exposure to execution drawings and site coordination Educational Qualification o Diploma / Degree in: Interior Design/Architecture/Civil Engineering Technical Skills (Must-Have) • AutoCAD (advanced level – non-negotiable) • Strong expertise in: • Working drawings • Joinery detailing • Material understanding • Construction methods • Ability to read and interpret: • Architectural drawings • Interior layouts • Basic MEP drawings Good to Have • SketchUp / 3D understanding • Exposure to experiential or technology-integrated interiors • Basic knowledge of coordination with AV / lighting consultants What Will Make You Successful Here • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to think through execution, not just drafting • Strong coordination skills with design and site teams • Ownership mindset and accountability • Ability to handle tight timelines and multiple revisions This Role Is Not For • Draftsmen limited to basic 2D drafting without detailing experience • Candidates without execution exposure • Those who cannot coordinate with multiple stakeholders • Anyone who treats drafting as a mechanical task Location : Bangalore Why Join Rubenius | REDS • Work on complex, design-driven interior projects • Strong involvement in execution-stage problem solving • Opportunity to grow into Technical Lead / Drawing Coordinator • Exposure to high-quality detailing and multidisciplinary coordination
